The virtual reality now is the real time reality. If you need a camera to shoot virtual reality videos, Nokia is for your help. The company announced, the first commercially available virtual reality (VR) camera Ozo specifically designed and built for professional movie creators. So Facebook 360 degree VR and GoPro will have to be ready for stiff competition.
So the live virtual reality is hitting mainstream market. It creates a 360 degree video as it happens and a spatial audio. It costs $60000 which is on the costlier side. So it will be for a handful of partners. The product will be available in summer this year.
There is also a VR player developer kit that will bring the VR to your app. OZO’s filmed content can be published on head mounted displays (HMDs) such as Oculus Rift VR.
Also today, Palo Alto-based VR production company Jaunt Inc. announced a commitment to support OZO, both by offering the camera for use in Jaunt Studios and by supporting content produced with OZO through its post-production services. Jaunt is the leading developer of the hardware, software, tools, and applications to enable the creation of cinematic VR. Through its studio arm, Jaunt Studios, the company works with leading creatives - from brands to artists to filmmakers - to create cutting-edge content.
